We report to TCEQ and address any violations as soon as possible.
In 2023, we failed to submit lead and coper samples, which resulted in a reporting violation with TCEQ.
Their rule requires that notice of this violation be mailed to the members and posted on a public site (website). This was not done.
The actual violation was corrected by submitting 2 lead and copper samples sets in 2024. These results showed that the water system is and has been nowhere near the action level for lead or copper.
This notice is meant to correct the failure to provide notification back in 2023. This information has also been mailed to all community members of Lakeview Hills WSC.
2/9/25 - We are currently in good standing with TCEQ.

Public Water System Official,
In preparation for the upcoming freezing weather conditions with projected low temperatures for an extended period of time the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) would like to provide you with important information and resources regarding your water system to ensure safe drinking water before, during, and after a natural disaster.
· If you have questions or need immediate assistance, please contact the TCEQ regional office that serves your county. TCEQ’s emergency hotline, after business hours, is 1-888-777-3186.
Prepare
· TCEQ recommends that systems prepare for freezing conditions by ensuring all critical water system components are protected from freezing weather. A website has been posted to include information on Natural Disaster Preparedness and Preparing for Extreme Cold Weather Conditions for water systems.
· Review your system’s emergency preparedness plan and for systems with generator(s), verify the generator will start and plan to maintain sufficient fuel on hand to last the duration of the weather event (minimum of 48 hours is required).
· For more information, please refer to TCEQ’s “Public Drinking Water Systems: Responding to a Disaster” (RG-517b) regulatory guidance.
Immediate Notification
· Non-industrial systems are required to immediately notify TCEQ if there is an unplanned condition that:
o Causes a public water supply outage, and/or
o Results in the system issuing a do-not-use advisory, do-not-consume advisory, or boil water notice.
· Report online using the Immediate Notification Form.
Boil Water Notices
· A boil water notice must be issued when the potability of the drinking water comes into question. Boil water notice - quick guide
· If your system shuts down or issues a boil water notice, notify the TCEQ regional office that serves your county and email documentation to PWSBWN@tceq.texas.gov.
· Boil water notice forms are located at: https://www.tceq.texas.gov/drinkingwater/boilwater.html.
· TCEQ maintains a map and a list of laboratories for microbial samples on the TCEQ PWSSP webpage.
Assistance
· If you need emergency equipment or supplies, such as a generator or bottled water, please contact your local emergency manager (e.g., city mayor, county judge or emergency management coordinator).
o Information on state emergency management, including the TDEM regions and Districts is available through the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
· Additional assistance is available through the Texas Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (TXWARN). TXWARN supports and promotes statewide disaster response and mutual aid assistance. TXWARN can be contacted at 866-989-9276 or info@txwarn.org.
Additional Information
· If you need TCEQ technical assistance with treatment or repairs, please contact the Texas Optimization Program at TOP@tceq.texas.gov.
· For questions concerning temporary emergency authorizations for treatment or repairs relating to the weather event, please contact the Plan Review Team at PTRS@tceq.texas.gov.
